The study investigated the impact of school counselling services on students’ attitude and academic performance in tertiary institution in Ogun State. The study adopts 2x2 pretest-posttest quasi- experimental design. A simple random sampling technique was used to select three tertiary schools as participants for the study. A total of 300 students who are two hundred levels participated in the study. Two validated instrument (Students Attitude to Counselling Questionnaire and Students grade point for first semester and second semester) were used to generate data for the study. Three hypotheses guided the study and Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analysis the data collected. The results indicated that there is a significant main effect of counselling service on students attitude and academic performance {F (1,283) = 132.750, and F (1,283) = 58.302 at P< 0.05 level of significant respectively. There was no significant main effect and interaction effect found between treatment (counselling services), and Students gender on attitude towards counselling services and academic performance. Based on these findings, tertiary students should be properly guided in pursuit of their academic by consulting the school counsellors and to be able to correct any difficulties in their course of study. More so, school counselling services should be given more time and motivation of counsellors by school authorities should be given taken serious.
